Our Approach
Every family is unique.
Your household has its own rhythm, priorities, and challenges—so we don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions.
We begin by understanding how your household currently operates: what works well, where friction exists, and what feels overwhelming.
We then design a unique household strategy that addresses your challenges, optimizes your resources, and aligns with your values.
Untangle sits at the intersection of professional organizing and family therapy, focusing not on the house and not on the family but rather, on optimizing the household: operations, dynamics, and efficiencies.
How We Work
We apply the same approach used to help corporations, nonprofits, and federal agencies become more efficient and effective. Together, we define a clear vision for how your household could function and develop a practical roadmap that includes:
Clear priorities and goals
Improved household systems
Defined roles and responsibilities
Streamlined logistics and planning routines
We can reduce your household stress and mental load in four to six weeks.
Invest an hour of your time and get hours back each week.

1.-Household Diagnostic
(2 - 4 weeks)
We meet with each family member—yep, even kids!—to understand:
1.-Current State What’s working? What’s not?
Family culture, values, key priorities
Logistics mapping, process flows
Biggest challenges, pain points
Roles, responsibilities, and resources
Calendar and activities audit
Vendors, outsourcing
2.-Desired Future State
What should success look and feel like?
What will be new?
What will go away?
How will you measure success?
Deliverable: a current-state snapshot from the perspective of your whole family–not just mom or dad–and a vision of your successful household
2. Strategy Design
(2 - 4 weeks)
Develop a plan that will get you from your current chaos to your future state of clarity and calmness. Each plan is customized for your family based upon the insights we gather from the Household Diagnostic. Your household strategy may include:
A household operating model
Calendar architecture
Logistics map
Roles and responsibilities
Vendor ecosystem plan
Activity prioritization framework
Deliverable: a customized strategy for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of your household
3.-Systems Implementation
(2-4 weeks)
Untangle also helps families implement the systems and routines needed to make the plan work in real life. This is the actual “renovation” of your household during which we develop and implement:
Tools
Systems
Automations
Family routines
Deliverable: put the agreed-upon strategic approach and systems to work in your household and daily life
4.-Ongoing Household Support
Once we have untangled and optimized your household, there still may be more than your family can do/wants to do. Successful business–and household–leaders often rely on outsourcing. The result is a home environment that is calmer, more organized, and far more manageable.
Part-Time Household Manager — a monthly retainer for ongoing support. Pricing is based upon desired level and complexity of support.

Tune-Up: Life isn’t static; it’s dynamic. As work demands, kids’ schools and activities, and other priorities change, (e.g., beginning of a new school year, school “leveling up,” eldest child going to college, divorce, grandparent moving in) your household’s needs evolve. Feel like things are getting complicated again? The Tune-Up ensures that your household remains optimized. Pricing is based upon level of complexity.
Deliverable: ongoing support at the level that’s right for your household
